Aujourd’hui, j’aime ______.

Bonsoir!

Today, I love _____:

-That I am still so full from the delectable gourmet Thanksgiving dinner party last night here in Rochechouart (it has taken me all week to remember how to spell that! It’s pronounced: “ROSH-eh-shwah”)

There were 15 of us total, everyone was lovely, and the food was exquisite. Nancy and I kept everyone’s wine and cider glasses full, and drank two bottles of champagne between ourselves.

Oh, and the dessert! Linzer-tort, fresh apple pie made from the trees out back, and fresh pumpkin pie and crème de glace à la vanille (vanilla ice cream). Good thing I can’t figure out how to use the scale in the upstairs bathroom. It’s in kgs and I can’t convert it to lbs (even though they taught us in my nutrition class).

-Coco and Cassie, the cutie Yorkie doggies. And I usually don’t like little dogs! These girls are sweeties.

-That I’m not in math or nutrition class today. Muahaha. School? What’s school? I’ll catch up someday.

-That Les, Nancy’s dad, is building up the fireplace and we’re all going to relax on the leather couches with blankets and vino and watch movies all afternoon. With French subtitles so I can brush up on my skillz.

-That I am getting better at French every day! Yesterday Anne and Marie-Brigitte told me my accent is lovely! That is a serious compliment coming from them.

-That we just booked our hotel in Paris for Wednesday, and it looks gorgeous!

I’m having a fabulous time, in case you couldn’t tell. I don’t want to come back. Maybe the trains will still be on strike and we’ll be stuck here forever! I wouldn’t mind. =)

I’ll bring home a couple bottles of fine French wine and we all can have a classy vino night upon my return!

And for added visuals, since I haven’t uploaded photos yes, below you can see where Paris is in the center of the country, and just south of that is Limoges (“li-MOOJ”). And Rochechouart, where we currently are, is right next to Limoges.
