Bluntcards. Better than someecards?

4 Jun 2009 by Charlotte Mutesha, 4 Comments »

I received two e-cards from the lovely Sara the other day:

Drip.

Drip.

Thats just the ugly truth.

"That's just the ugly truth."

I like these cards better than the classic, sarcastic someecards. You still have the classic old-fashioned characters, but in live color and with smarmier quotes.

Remember when e-cards were all the rage? Who really sends them anymore, other than as jokes or e-vites? Remember pen pals? Snail mail? Nobody writes letters anymore; I used to all the time to my girlfriends. Long letters and/or notebook sharing.

Notebooks were dangerous in high school–the school authorities were always prone to confiscate ours because we talked about pot. Always meddling!

Speaking of snail mail, I’m going to write and send out my birthday thank-you cards before so much time passes that it becomes insincere.

Haha. I’m pretty much all of the above! Yep, all of ‘em. And especially working in bars over the last five years… ;)

Oh those foolish highschool notebook monitors. All the dirty, love-bashing, breakfast-having, potato sharing secrets we kept in there. I recently found one, and re-read every page.
We were so funny, and I miss you.

Gawd. I remember the day I got busted with stacks of notebooks in the office. “I’m gonna have to take these…” MAN were my parents pissed.
